Can you keep a secret?
I haven’t officially announced Girls Will Be Girls yet however...
No polished launch.
No speaker lineup.
No big marketing campaign.
Just conversations.
A text here.
A DM there.
Mentioning it in passing to women I genuinely wanted in the room.
And somehow...
We’re already at OVER 60 RSVPs.
That surprised me.
Not because I didn’t believe in the idea but because I wanted to know if other women felt the same way I did.
Apparently, they do.
Here’s another secret.
The last event I hosted was in 2019.
Read that again.
2019.
Before the pandemic.
Before virtual networking became the norm.
Before cannabis became my career.
Back then, I was simply a medical cannabis patient who had fallen in love with the plant’s potential. I spent my time making small-batch edibles and topicals, learning everything I could about cannabis and wellness. That curiosity eventually pushed me to ask a bigger question:
If I really want to contribute to this industry, shouldn’t I understand it from the inside first?
I didn’t want to assume where the gaps were just because I was a consumer and avid dispo goer. I wanted to earn the perspective.
So I stepped into the industry.
Over the last several years, I’ve had a front-row seat to the cannabis community.
I’ve worked alongside dispensary teams.
I’ve partnered with brands.
I’ve met entrepreneurs, creators, advocates, and women who are building incredible careers in this space.
I’ve watched collaborations happen over coffee. I’ve watched friendships turn into business partnerships. I’ve watched a single introduction change the direction of someone’s career.
And through all of it, one thought kept coming back to me.
We’re missing more intentional rooms.
Not networking for the sake of collecting business cards.
Not another event where everyone is trying to sell something.
A room where women can show up as their authentic selves and let their hand down!
A room where genuine conversations turn into actual collaborations.
A room where someone walks in alone and leaves feeling like they found their tribe.
That’s the room I’ve been thinking about for years.
And maybe...
That’s the room so many of us have been waiting for.
Girls Will Be Girls isn’t about exclusivity. It’s about intentionality.
It’s a curated gathering for women who are building, supporting, or growing alongside the cannabis industry - dispensary professionals, brand representatives, entrepreneurs, creators, wellness advocates, and the women helping shape what’s next.
Over 60 women have already RSVP’d before I’ve officially announced it.
To me, that’s confirmation that this isn’t just another networking event.
It’s filling a need.
If you’re reading this from Maryland and you’ve been looking for a room like this, I’d love for you to join us.
You can reserve your spot here !!!!
And if you’re reading this from somewhere else, stick around.
Something tells me Maryland won’t be the only place Girls Will Be Girls shows up.
